those are the rest of the photos from my weekend in akron.
there is something innately ohio about those shots of the bus,
the puffy fall clouds and the corn and the trees
and midsize SUVs in the grass parking lot.
i really love it.
i also really love mrs. meyers spice cake candles,
the community commentaries,
chatting with my shuttle driver about apple butter,
skyping with my mom during pens games,
and being halfway through midterm hell.
those are my random thoughts from the day. what are some of yours?

Looks like so much fun! Your photos remind me of pumpkin patches and how we need to go soon. They're always so much fun.
ReplyDeletethe first photo is so funny!
ReplyDeletei totally understand the weirdness (been catching up reading through your posts) of being home, especially when it's not actually a home that was ever "yours." looks like a lovely transition into autumn anyway! i don't know what you'll end up doing with your life (professor?) but i hope you enjoy school with all your might! especially now that you're studying what you want to study. i miss it, always thought i would go back (yet again), but not with the kiddo my urges and leanings have changed. anyway, there will be lots of special times in your life, and this is definitely one of them! is your mom in full remission?
ReplyDeletewishing you and yours a beautiful week!
hugs,
heather
I love that every single picture has a beautiful orange tone. Even the last one, the tiny splash of orange in the lights...

Hope you're finally done with midterms! :) That pumpkin patch looks amazing. Love that last shot driving home too!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to ohio but I can definitely feel the essence through your photos! Good luck on midterms chica!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautifully captured shots...lovely!
ReplyDelete@smallburst: it's my favorite part of fall :)
ReplyDelete@cindy: i need to frame it. the wind was CRAZY.
@heather: yeah, i'm definitely thinking of going on for my MFA + PhD in hopes of teaching college level writing, and i'm definitely enjoying my last few semesters :) my mom went back to school when she was in her 40s, so there's always time! and since she has a chronic form of leukemia, there's really no such thing as remission, but she's been doing really, really well recently. thanks so much for asking!
@camila: i didn't notice that until you pointed it out, but they really do! i like it :)
@trude: i'm almost there! thanks for the encouragement, love!
@joanne: it's a great state :) and thanks! they've gone well so far.
@kaylan: thanks very much :)
