it's been raining all day.
the twinkle lights have been plugged in since noon.
outside smells like melted salt and firewood.
i managed to fit in a walk during the only break in the downpour.
i'm not used to really wet januarys
(i'm more accustomed to the cold, snowy kind)
but i love slow mornings and cool weather and gray skies
so this one is starting to grow on me.

Surprisingly warm these days! It's been a bit rainy here lately, but I'm not complaining. I prefer the rain to the snow.

I have to agree with you. I love cold days when the skies are grey and all you wanna do is stay warm in bed all day! I live in southern CA, so we don't get too many of those days (not that I'm complaining lol!).
ReplyDeleteOur Januarys are usually snowy also, but it's been too warm this year for snow! Sigh. I'd rather have snow than rain.

It's cold and snowy but all the snow is melting away in the sunshine. Gorgeous shots.
