it's been quiet here.
final grades have been posted
and i've been under the weather
which means i've spent the last few days
drinking tea & watching netflix
and other decompressing-type things.
it feels like summer in my part of the world,
all hot and humid
like it's always on the edge of a thunderstorm
that never actually happens.
it makes me want to drink a lot of frozen lemonade,
watch greer garson movies late at night,
read books from my childhood,
and put iron & wine on the record player,
only getting up to flip sides
over and over and over.

ReplyDeleteIt's getting very cold over here in Sydney so I'm forgetting what summer was like! But fruit smoothies always make me feel summery. As does the smell of sunscreen...

That sounds beautiful! Feeling properly warm sunlight on my face, icecream and big bunches of sunflowers make me feel summery! Alas I have yet to experience any of those so far this year, but soon I hope!
